Science Leadership Team:
With new standards coming up in science, I am looking to create a team of leads in science. These teachers would participate in our adoption and preparation of new standards work in science for the next few years. This work would take place in the summer and after school hours. Once the teams are created, I am willing to work with schedules to get as much participation as possible.
SEL Resource {Ashley Johnson}:
SCDE has created a state supported page with great SEL resources for students, parents, teachers and more! There are some great resources on this page that will support you with your work with SEL. https://sel.ed.sc.gov/

- meeting times- normal curriculum review work may be after school virtually this year in May/early June. However, this will be light (mostly checking links and making sure everything makes sense). In regards to July and digging into the kits and new standards, I’m looking at individual grade level team availability to make the schedule. I’m thinking it’ll be at least 3 full days, depending on turnout. I don’t have specific dates yet because we are waiting for the HCS calendar for next year.
- would these be virtual- they would be virtual until further notice. I would like to have teachers be able to dig into kits in person, but we will do this virtually and get virtual copies of manuals if it is not safe.
- would they be paid- everything is $30/hr positive pay, so yes.
- grade level teams working together or more individual- they would be working mostly in grade level teams
