John Antonetti Consultant Visit (Monday, 12/7)
John will be sharing a new strategy that he developed working with Dr. John Medina the author of "brain rules." It's a pre-reading strategy that incorporates the deeper thinking of RL5 and RI5. He will present this during our grade-level PLCs on Monday. There will be an orange sheet in your mailbox that includes these standards.
Hour of Code (DIS Team)
Between December 7-11th, students around the world will celebrate Computer Science Education Week by doing an Hour of Code at their school. It’s an opportunity for every child to learn how the technology around us works and spark interest in careers in computer science.
The DIS Team is excited to be able to join classrooms “virtually” to help kickoff some fun coding activities! Please share this flyer with your brick and mortar teachers for an opportunity to sign up for virtual live sessions.
*Be sure to follow the instructions for BRICK AND MORTAR opportunities. Teachers may choose one slot on A day and one slot on B day if available.
Don't forget to share what your students are doing with #hcspdl #hcselementary #hourofcode on social media.
