ELA (Terra and Ashley)
Math (Meagen and Sarah)
We know that Math Routines in Grades 3-5 are brand new this year, and we want to offer a little clarity. When we started compiling Routines, we started with Every Day Counts and typed up Routines based off of some of those. We also pulled from Routines that we’ve seen Kara and Jessica model over the years. Additionally, some were designed to build off of the routines that are present in the primary grades of K-2. In analyzing district-wide data, we’ve noticed a dip in Numbers and Operations, students’ computational fluency, and students’ overall ability to think about numbers (number sense). The goal of Daily Routines is to provide students with consistent opportunities to work with numbers and think about numbers each day.
SS (Kelley Wiltrout)
Constitution Day: September 17
All institutions receiving federal funding, including funding through the U.S. Department of Education, are required to hold an educational program pertaining to the United States Constitution on September 17 of each year. Due to the 17th falling on a Saturday, Constitution Day will be celebrated on September 16, 2022. A variety of lessons, activities, and resources can be found HERE.
