SPRING MAP TESTING -
The Spring MAP testing window is March 6 to March 24.

The Spring MAP testing window is March 6 to March 24.
- SJE MAP Schedule - we will complete testing in the first two weeks.
- Create your NWEA testing bubbles at this time, & do not include students with accommodations.
- K-1: MAP Growth Reading K-2 & Math K-2 (need headphones)
- 2-4: MAP Growth Reading 2-5 & Math 2-5
- Each student needs to know their Spring 2023 goal(s) based on:
- Fall to Spring Report (1st & 2nd)
- Spring-to-Spring Report (3rd & 4th)
- Fall to Spring Report (1st & 2nd)
- Students with accommodations will be pulled when Sped, Interventionists, IC, and school counselors have availability. Please notice the times your students will be pulled & be flexible as these testing times will likely be changed.
- Students with accommodations who can't be pulled during your classroom testing block, will stay in your classroom while you test.
- Teachers & grade-levels are asked to work together to complete make-up testing in the classrooms.
- Use NWEA MAP Testing History Search to determine who still needs to test.
- We must be proactive with our testing before we have more internet or absentee issues.

HCS Summer Learning Camp Information
Where:
Horry County Schools will reduce campsites to 7 this year. SJE students will attend the camp sites at Socastee Elementary.
Who Attends:
We will offer SLC to students in grades in K-5 this summer. LES AND MBP will have CD classes again this year as part of our partnership with The United Way. The details below will provide camp information that might be relevant to the decisions you make regarding student recommendations/participation.

While we understand that emergency situations arise, please note that we ask that educators who are committed to teach for the entirety of SLC apply. SLC pay will be the same as last year The final determination of employment with the HCS Summer Learning Camp is based upon student enrollment figures and availability of funds. Teacher application links will be shared with principals who have teachers who are interested. Please remember that principal recommendation is required.

Please make sure any new teachers to a grade level have the opportunity to attend science kit training. We have training coming up on the 9th at the science center. HERE is a list of all science kit training dates for the 22-23 school year. This can also be found with the curriculum documents.
Science Kit Pickup
