- NEW! ELA Quick Links have been added to each grade level’s ELA curriculum document. This will make accessing the planning essentials a little more efficient for teachers. Here are the direct links for your reference:
- Lexia Celebration! 👀
- 6,516 HCS students started the school year working on material below their grade level. With consistent usage of Core5, these students made substantial literacy gains.
- Currently, 73% of these students advanced at least 1 grade level of skills, 64% began working on skills at their grade level, and 167 students reached their end-of-year benchmark.
- The goal is to progress in grade level material, but that that can’t be achieved without monitored usage.
- Lexia reports can take the guessing out of planning small group instruction. The data provides targeted information for instruction. Lexia provides solid resources to support teacher-led small group instruction AND in workstations (See Lexia Connections) in K-5.
- Teachers can find out more in our after-school Lexia professional development. There are several offering for topics depending on where you are on your Lexia journey, including 3-5 teachers! (sessions for elementary teachers are marked) Exchange day credit will be earned.
