7/22 Email:
As we prepare to for the upcoming school year, I wanted to make sure everyone has an opportunity to review HCS's Safe Return to School Plan. Please use the link and refer to it for updates throughout the school year.
MAP Testing (K-4)
Spring and fall 2021 data will be used as baseline measures to determine academic gaps in reading and math. This information will be used to identify learning loss and skill identification to employ additional interventions in reading and math including, but not limited to, tutorials before and after school, as well as reading and math interventions during the school day. Literacy academic growth and progress for students in K-2 will be assessed via the Dynamic Indicators of Basic Early Literacy Skills (DIBELS) assessment in fall, winter, and spring. Literacy and math academic growth and progress for students in K-8 will be assessed via NWEA MAP assessments in fall, winter, and spring.

NEW - August 10th & 11th Professional Development (Samantha Coy) -
Thank you so much for signing up for August PD! I just wanted to touch base with a few updates/reminders:
The sessions that will be offered are listed in two formats for your convenience. You will find them in the typical At-A-Glance PDF as well as a Google Sheet so that you can sort and copy/paste. I have taken their Document and highlight the sessions that have been recommended by our Learning Specialists. Sessions are all virtual and there are MANY times and dates to choose from.
All participants must register in Truenorthlogic for sessions. Session facilitators will send email reminders, session updates, and/or changes to enrolled participants through the email feature within Truenorthlogic. Educators are expected to attend sessions on both days.

- Please sign up for virtual sessions by the end of the day on August 6th as many presenters will be reaching out to participants with links and materials for the session.
- There have been a few adjustments to sessions. If a change was made, the session is highlighted in yellow on the Google Sheet and the specific change is highlighted in red.
- Due to popular demand, we added seats to the elementary technology sessions. They have been released for sign-up.
