Please Remember:
- The testing environment should mimic SCReady as closely as possible. If a student will receive an accommodation during SCReady, then they can receive it on this prompt as well.
- SpEd and intervention students should participate in this prompt.
- Remind to follow SCReady testing security protocol. You should not give any instructional or teaching “tips” before or during the assessment. We cannot make accurate instructional decisions if our students don’t show us what they can do independently. It is only March; it is okay if students aren’t masters of the TDA yet.
- It is up to each school to determine how long they would like to allow students to work on this prompt. SCReady is untimed, but instructional time is precious. Please consider what is best for students when you set testing parameters. Formats could include: one reading and writing class period; one reading, writing, and SGI class period, or one day untimed.
- Students who are absent on testing day should be allowed to have a makeup opportunity.
