Read to Succeed Educator Coursework (Jeanna Allen) -
Pre-enrollment for Summer 2022 coursework will close in TN Logic on Friday 4/8 22 at 5:00 p.m. This Read to Succeed Teacher/Educator Endorsement Requirements link provides additional pertinent information. Once the pre-enrollment closes on 4/8, the next opportunity for course work with be in the fall of 2022.
NEW - Technology Grant Opportunities (Ashley Gasperson) -
As part of the HCS Technology Fair, there is a grant opportunity available for HCS teachers. This year we have once again been awarded additional funds to provide grant opportunities for teachers interested in STEM-based activities or equipment. If you are interested in applying for the STEM Grant, awarded as part of the HCS Technology Fair, please complete the application below by April 20, 2022. Grant recipients will be announced and notified by email by April 29, 2022. If you have any questions about the grant application, please contact Ashley Gasperson at [email protected].

Upcoming TDA Field Test: If you haven’t already, plan to work with students on the Online Training Tools before April 7th’s TDA. Also, even though we will not receive direct feedback from the TDA, teachers and students can use this activity as a moment to reflect on how students handle the task.
Science (Kim Inman)
Thank you for all your hard work with the Science textbook adoption! The majority vote went to the board on Monday. TWIG is our new approved district science program.
The other material will be recycled. If you want the student readers, come and get them.
DIBELS 8 EOY Benchmark/SC Ready (Tina Matthews)
The DIBELS 8 EOY benchmark window is quickly approaching. Be sure that you are taking time to review skills that students are still struggling with in an effort to help them meet end of year benchmark goals.

GIFTED & TALENTED CERTIFICATION COURSES FOR GT teachers- Registration Deadline is May 1st for Summer sessions. Let Mrs. McDavid know if you are interested.
